Our client is seeking a driven Audit Senior to join their office! This role will focus on planning and managing audit assignments across a diverse client base, ensuring delivery to a high standard within agreed timelines and budgets. The successful candidate will support junior colleagues through on-site supervision and coaching while maintaining strong client relationships and promoting the firm's services.
Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Planning and managing audit assignments, identifying risks and evaluating internal control structures.
- Designing and performing audit tests, ensuring issues identified are raised and assessed appropriately.
- Completing audit files to reporting and auditing standards, highlighting findings and potential solutions.
- Preparing or reviewing financial statements and management reports.
- Supervising junior staff on-site, providing feedback, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Monitoring WIP and contributing to departmental billing targets.
- Maintaining strong client relationships, keeping abreast of client affairs, and identifying opportunities for cross-selling.
- Acting as an ambassador for the firm by building relationships and supporting new business opportunities.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold a relevant professional accounting qualification with at least 3 years' audit experience. Strong technical knowledge of audit and accounting regulations is essential, along with proven experience in managing audit assignments for a variety of entities, particularly financial services clients. Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and problem-solving skills are required, together with the ability to lead teams, motivate junior staff, and build strong client relationships.
