Working closely with the Head of Business Planning and wider project teams, the Business Planning Officer will provide essential administrative and coordination support across a portfolio of business change and operational projects.
This is a pivotal role within the Business Planning team, where you'll ensure key project processes are followed and documented, with a strong focus on data accuracy, risk tracking, and stakeholder communications.

This is a 3-6 month fixed-term contract and would suit someone immediately available or looking for a temporary role in a dynamic and professional setting.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the Head of Business Planning with portfolio management and project reporting.
  • Maintain and update project documentation and business processes in real time.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to collect and compile data for decision-making.
  • Provide coordination and administrative support for meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and distributing key documents.
  • Oversee logistics for project resources, including travel arrangements and expense tracking.
  • Help ensure projects align with internal governance frameworks, and champion process adherence.
  • Track and report on project risks, issues, and changes.
  • Maintain project systems and ensure document accuracy and accessibility.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Proven organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including report writing and meeting minutes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to following procedures.
  • Intermediate to advanced IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Word, and ideally MS Project.
  • Experience working within a project support or coordination environment.
  • A good understanding of project lifecycles and governance.
  • Knowledge of PRINCE2 or equivalent is desirable but not essential - training can be provided.
  • The ability to collate, analyse, and report on data effectively.
  • A team-oriented mindset and the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
