A great opportunity for a confident, detail-focused individual to take ownership of their own mortgage caseload within a collaborative and high-performing team! Supporting the end-to-end processing of secured loans, you'll play a key role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of mortgage transactions while maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Managing mortgage transactions, including advances, renewals, repayments, and completions.
- Conducting due diligence on borrowers and properties to ensure alignment with lending criteria and regulatory standards.
- Reviewing mortgage documentation, assessing risk factors, and preparing submissions for the Credit Committee.
- Liaising with internal teams and external professionals, such as solicitors and valuers, to ensure smooth transaction execution.
- Overseeing loan completions and supporting loan recovery processes when required.
- Ensuring compliance with credit risk, financial crime prevention, and broader regulatory requirements.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have experience in financial services, with a proven ability to manage caseloads independently and prioritise effectively. They will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, sound problem-solving skills, and strong organisational capability. Confidence in dealing with stakeholders and managing competing demands is essential. GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade 5 (C) or above are required, and relevant A-levels or professional qualifications would be an advantage. While experience in lending is highly desirable, applications are welcome from candidates with strong transferable skills and a willingness to learn.
