A fantastic opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of captive insurance clients within one of the world's leading captive domiciles. You'll oversee insurance programmes and renewals while building trusted relationships with clients, regulators, insurers and brokers.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the day-to-day insurance requirements of a portfolio of captive clients, ensuring consistently high standards of service.
  • Oversee insurance programme servicing and renewals, ensuring client and regulatory deadlines are achieved.
  • Review insurance matters for Board and Committee meeting packs and communicate relevant topics at Board and Underwriting Committee meetings.
  • Draft and review meeting minutes and insurance contract wordings, ensuring programmes remain appropriate and compliant with relevant requirements.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients, regulators, insurers, brokers and other key stakeholders.
  • Keep clients informed of relevant developments across the insurance and captive markets.
  • Work closely with senior colleagues and wider teams to support client objectives and contribute towards commercial targets.
  • Provide and review insurance and claims information to support the preparation of management accounts.
  • Support the ongoing development of captive insurance and risk financing solutions for clients.
  • Supervise, coach and develop colleagues, contributing to knowledge sharing and training across the wider team.
  • Contribute to wider projects and ad-hoc initiatives as required.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have strong general insurance experience and technical knowledge of the insurance and reinsurance industry, with previous captive insurance experience highly desirable. You'll hold or be working towards an ACII qualification or similar professional qualification. Excellent client relationship and communication skills are essential, with the confidence to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and deliver a consistently high standard of service. You'll be comfortable working with insurance and claims data and have good Excel skills, alongside some previous experience supervising, coaching or developing colleagues. A proactive, collaborative approach and the ability to take ownership of a varied client portfolio will be key.
