This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to play a vital role in day-to-day HR operations, employee relations, and implementing people-focused initiatives. This position is based in Guernsey and reports to the Head of People and Culture.

Responsibilities

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing employee relations and addressing concerns and grievances effectively and promptly.
  • Conducting investigations and ensuring fair and timely conflict resolution.
  • Supporting managers and employees with HR queries and guidance on employment practices.
  • Managing the day-to-day HR operations including the maintenance of accurate and confidential employee records.
  • Assisting with the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures.
  • Developing and implementing engagement programmes that enhance employee satisfaction.
  • Organising internal events and activities to promote a positive working culture.
  • Analysing employee feedback and contributing to the continuous improvement of workplace initiatives.
  • Coordinating performance appraisals, development plans, and training programmes for staff and management.
  • Acting as a point of contact for HR enquiries and ensuring consistent service delivery.


Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a CIPD Level 3 qualification and proven experience in a generalist HR role, particularly with a focus on employee relations and conflict resolution. They will possess a solid understanding of HR best practice and employment legislation, ideally with knowledge specific to Guernsey. Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills are essential, along with a proactive and ethical approach to all HR activities. Proficiency in Office 365 is required, and experience within the transport or airline industry would be advantageous.
