Our client, a multi-jurisdictional law firm, is seeking to recruit a Group Compliance Administrator.

Guernsey, Channel Islands

Responsibilities

Act as database administrator, following existing administrative procedures for sanctions check processes, conflict checks filing, introducer certificates, CDD record keeping, LexisOne reviews and analysis.
Participate in training on all relevant procedures.
Update all Compliance, AML and Data protection registers.
Liaise with fee earners and secretaries and follow up on outstanding CDD documentation.
Liaise with third party service providers.
Escalate any issues identified to the Group Head of Compliance.
Attend to licensing and regulatory filings.
Recommend changes to administrative procedures to ensure continuing efficiency in line with evolving requirements.
Assist with Data Protection/ GDPR administration, assisting with responses to enquiries and general related tasks.
Complete outstanding compliance records and backlogs, creating CDD reports for review and action.
Receive external regulatory updates and send advisory notes to staff.
Extract data from LexisOne to create monitoring spreadsheets per jurisdiction.
Undertake broader administrative tasks such as arranging meetings, booking travel, preparing correspondence and file notes.
Assist with preparation for Risk Committee meetings.
Undertake ad hoc project work.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be educated to an A Level standard or equivalent, with good English and Math. Candidates will possess considerable experience in similar or relevant role within a Lega, Financial or Professional Services Environment and hold or be studying towards a relevant professional qualification such ICA. Candidates will demonstrate a range of experience and knowledge in LexisOne and KYC6, in addition to solid IT abilities, strong organisation and communication skills, both written and verbal. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to effectively manage time, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines, whilst working within a team as well as independently. This role will suit a highly motivated, proactive and meticulous team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
