In this role, you will be assisting with the processing of new licence applications and identifying issues or highlighting risks. The work is challenging but varied, covering all sectors and involves dealing with applicants and their legal advisors.

Responsibilities

Investigate and assess applications for authorisation, registration or licensing for entities and individuals across the Fiduciary, Insurance and Investment sectors. Each application will be assessed against the relevant laws, rules and legislation.
Carry out balanced and risk based due diligence internet-based searches. Provide a clear written summary of the results to enable further review and decision making.
Support and assist team members within the Division. This may involve attending both internal and external meetings and panels.
Deal with enquiries from licensees, regulators, other professionals, complainants and members of the public and attending meetings as necessary.
Take responsibility for updating professional and technical knowledge, develop an understanding of regulatory laws, rules, codes and guidance.

Skills / Qualifications

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent attention to detail and robust analytical skills. Previous experience in trust, funds, insurance, banking, or pensions is desirable. This is a full-time role, with the possibility of reduced hours being considered for the right candidate.
