Compliance Specialist

• Supporting the Head of Compliance across regulatory and compliance matters.
• Assisting with breaches, conflicts of interest, complaints and market abuse matters.
• Conducting compliance monitoring reviews and financial crime control testing.
• Supporting the design and maintenance of the Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP).
• Assessing the effectiveness of compliance controls and recommending enhancements.
• Supporting investigations, root cause analysis and remediation activities.
• Conducting thematic compliance reviews and preparing monitoring reports.
• Drafting and maintaining compliance policies, manuals and registers.
• Supporting regulatory submissions, governance reporting and management information.
• Monitoring regulatory developments and assessing impacts on the business.
• Supporting compliance input into change initiatives, new products and systems.
• Mentoring junior team members and supporting capability development across the function.

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant ICA qualification or equivalent and possess at least 3 years' experience within a compliance or regulatory role in financial services. They will demonstrate strong knowledge of GFSC regulations and experience conducting compliance monitoring reviews and control testing. Excellent communication, organisational and analytical skills are essential, alongside the ability to work effectively under pressure and engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels. Experience within banking or wealth management would be advantageous. The successful individual will be proactive, commercially aware and capable of balancing regulatory obligations with practical business support.
