Take ownership of business-critical systems within a technology-driven organisation, leading the design and optimisation of core systems. This role focuses on shaping system architecture, driving performance and aligning technology with business goals.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Designing and developing technical architecture, specifications and system solutions.
  • Translating business requirements into functional and technical system designs.
  • Overseeing development, configuration, automation and DevOps processes.
  • Working closely with IT teams to deliver integrated technology solutions.
  • Monitoring system performance to ensure alignment with business needs and objectives.
  • Evaluating and selecting appropriate software, hardware and integration methods.
  • Managing system implementation and ensuring infrastructure meets agreed standards.
  • Communicating technical requirements to internal teams and external partners.
  • Researching emerging technologies and recommending improvements.
  • Developing architecture standards, policies and guidelines.
  • Supporting development teams with technical expertise and guidance.
  • Managing vendor relationships and supply chain processes. 


Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' experience in a similar role, with strong hands-on experience in business systems design and implementation. They will hold a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience). They will demonstrate strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics and Azure cloud platforms, with desirable experience in MECOMS/MEEP modules and CRM integrations across multiple back-office systems. Experience with supply chain systems and software development processes is also required. A strong understanding of scalable system design, availability, backup and disaster recovery best practices is essential. The successful individual will be an excellent communicator, able to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex programmes effectively.
