Corporate Banking Account Manager

Job Ref: LF 41421
Leapfrog Jobs

This is a brilliant mid-level Corporate Banking opportunity offering plenty of scope to build your relationship management experience. You'll act as an important link between clients, Relationship Managers and the wider Bank, taking ownership of day-to-day instructions and helping deliver a highly personalised service. Relevant banking or fiduciary experience is welcomed, although potential and transferable client skills are equally important.

Location

Guernsey, Channel Islands

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Act as a key point of contact for a designated portfolio of Corporate Banking clients.
  • Coordinate client instructions and ensure requests are progressed efficiently.
  • Manage deposits, payments, foreign exchange, securities transactions and corporate actions.
  • Provide proactive and personalised support to clients.
  • Prepare account opening documentation and support new client onboarding.
  • Work with Relationship Managers and onboarding colleagues to resolve missing information, red flags and other issues.
  • Ensure client accounts are maintained in accordance with required standards.
  • Support transaction monitoring, remediation activity and periodic client reviews.
  • Assist Relationship Managers in promoting services including savings, FX, custody and lending.
  • Support client relationship-building activities.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Contribute to the effective operation and ongoing development of departmental procedures.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have strong client service, client support or relationship management experience, ideally gained within banking, fiduciary services or a similar professional environment, although candidates from other industries with strong transferable skills will also be considered. This is a mid-level opportunity and could equally suit a more junior candidate ready to take the next step, provided you have excellent client service skills, strong organisation and the potential to develop into an Account Manager role. Knowledge of banking, custody, FX or credit would be advantageous rather than essential for the right developing candidate. You'll be confident building relationships, comfortable managing multiple priorities and bring excellent communication skills, attention to detail and a strong awareness of risk and compliance.
