Onboarding Adviser

Job Ref: LF 41386
Leapfrog Jobs

If you have experience in AML/KYC, CDD or client relationship management and enjoy working with people, this role offers an interesting next step. You'll guide clients and internal teams through the onboarding process, helping interpret requirements and resolve issues along the way. This is an onboarding rather than a traditional Compliance role, offering a strong mix of technical knowledge and stakeholder interaction.

Location

Guernsey, Channel Islands

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Act as a key liaison between clients, engagement teams and KYC Operations.
  • Guide clients and internal teams through the onboarding and KYC process.
  • Respond to queries relating to AML procedures, policies and KYC systems.
  • Coordinate the collection of appropriate KYC and CDD documentation.
  • Keep stakeholders updated on onboarding progress and proactively resolve issues.
  • Interpret KYC requirements and communicate them clearly to clients and colleagues.
  • Act as a first point of contact for KYC Operations queries and additional information requests.
  • Use existing client information and industry knowledge to minimise unnecessary client outreach.
  • Escalate onboarding issues appropriately and support timely resolution.
  • Maintain accurate time recording and contribute to management information on onboarding activity.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have some relevant experience in client onboarding, AML/KYC, CDD, client risk or relationship management, ideally gained within financial or professional services. You'll have a good understanding of KYC requirements, the financial regulatory environment and AML risk implications, together with an understanding of different legal and client structures. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are particularly important, as you'll work directly with clients and diverse internal teams while managing expectations and resolving onboarding issues. You'll be proactive, comfortable working to KPIs and confident escalating matters when required. An AML or similar professional qualification would be advantageous but isn't essential. This is not a Compliance role, although some exposure to compliance-related work may form part of the position. Applicants must already have the right to live and work in Guernsey, as work permit sponsorship is not available.
