Our client is seeking an Operations Assistant to support the delivery of workplace services across their organisation. This is a hands-on role within a busy operations team where no two days are the same. You will support both front and back of house functions while ensuring a high standard of service delivery.
Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting the smooth running of front and back of house operations.
- Acting as a central point of contact for employees, clients and service providers.
- Assisting with space management and workplace allocation.
- Supporting onboarding processes including desk setup, access cards and inductions.
- Managing employee queries and escalating where required.
- Coordinating internal communications relating to operations and safety protocols.
- Managing cleaning, catering and stationery services.
- Supporting the delivery of front of house and client experience standards.
- Coordinating planned, preventative and reactive maintenance activities.
- Managing post, distribution and office logistics.
- Overseeing the operations helpdesk and related queries.
- Supporting health, safety and environmental compliance requirements.
- Assisting with budgeting, reporting and administrative tasks.
- Supporting client events alongside business development teams.
- Identifying opportunities to improve operational processes and workplace efficiency.
- Supporting out-of-hours or emergency operational issues where required.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have experience in an operations, facilities or administrative role and demonstrate the confidence to act as deputy to the Assistant Operations Manager when required. They will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with colleagues, clients and service providers. Excellent organisational, prioritisation and time management skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks and respond to changing demands. A basic understanding of building systems, health and safety and environmental regulations would be advantageous, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office. The successful individual will be adaptable, proactive and a strong team player with a positive, "can do" attitude.
