Our client is seeking a Compliance Officer to join their Guernsey-based team, supporting a well-established compliance function within a regulated fiduciary environment. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior compliance professionals, contributing to the ongoing development of robust risk and control frameworks!
Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Support the compliance function in meeting regulatory requirements within the fiduciary sector.
- Assist with AML/CFT/CPF oversight, including CDD reviews and maintenance of compliance registers.
- Conduct sanctions screening and manage AML and compliance logs.
- Assist in maintaining and updating compliance monitoring programmes.
- Monitor regulatory developments and support updates to policies and procedures.
- Conduct compliance testing and escalate findings appropriately.
- Track action points and contribute to compliance reporting, including board reports.
- Support the preparation of regulatory returns and regulatory visits.
- Assist with compliance and AML training across the business.
- Provide compliance advice to colleagues and respond to internal queries.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' compliance experience within the fiduciary or trust sector, with a sound understanding of Guernsey regulatory requirements and AML frameworks. You will be confident working independently, highly detail-oriented, and comfortable engaging with stakeholders across the business. A collaborative mindset and proactive approach will be key to success in this role.
