A fantastic new opportunity to join a high-performing trust accounting team, providing accurate and compliant financial statements for a varied portfolio of trust and company structures. The successful individual will contribute to audit preparation, system oversight, and issue resolution while developing their technical accounting skills in a collaborative and professional environment.
Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing financial statements for a portfolio of trust and company entities.
- Auditing and maintaining integrity of accounting records.
- Reviewing minute books, statutory documents, and trust instruments.
- Liaising with auditors and coordinating documentation requests.
- Investigating and resolving accounting queries and exception reports.
- Participating in complaints investigations and special project work.
- Supporting the training of team members and sharing technical knowledge.
- Ensuring timely billing for accounting services.
- Maintaining strong working knowledge of systems including NavOne, Excel, and iManage.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be a part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with experience preparing financial statements for fiduciary structures. They should be confident using computerised accounting systems and familiar with Guernsey's regulatory environment. Excellent communication, organisational skills, and a solutions-driven mindset are essential.
