Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting on-site claim assessments and investigations.
- Managing claims from first instruction to settlement.
- Engaging with customers in person and maintaining strong communication throughout the process.
- Preparing reports, documenting findings and making reasoned recommendations.
- Coordinating contractors, suppliers and third parties where required.
- Ensuring claims progress in a timely and efficient manner.
- Providing excellent customer service and maintaining clear, empathetic communication.
- Supporting the development and success of the new loss adjusting service.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold, or be working toward, a CILA qualification, or have demonstrable experience handling commercial or home claims alongside relevant CII qualifications. They will be self-motivated, organised and confident managing their workload independently. Strong analytical and relationship-building skills are essential, along with the ability to communicate clearly with customers in sometimes sensitive situations. A commitment to delivering outstanding customer service is key.
