This varied and front-facing role offers the opportunity to join a busy and professional organisation in a dual-capacity position. Acting as both Receptionist and Personal Assistant, the postholder will play a key part in welcoming visitors and supporting senior stakeholders, including members of the Executive Committee and the HR function. This is a highly visible position suited to a proactive individual with a strong client focus and excellent administrative skills.
Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Managing the main reception area, switchboard and visitor access, ensuring all guests are welcomed and supported appropriately.
- Coordinating meeting room bookings, preparing boardrooms and assisting with hospitality requirements.
- Handling incoming courier packages and arranging travel, taxis and accommodation as needed.
- Providing administrative support to the Executive Committee and HR team, including diary management, preparation of meeting packs, minutes, reports and correspondence.
- Assisting with internal employee initiatives such as long service awards, corporate sponsorships, and volunteering activities.
- Supporting HR with events coordination, employee communications and internal marketing.
- Participating in operational and system development projects, including testing and procedural updates.
- Monitoring operational risk activities, reporting any events and contributing to the organisation's risk awareness culture.
- Maintaining a professional environment in line with organisational values and procedures.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' administrative experience, ideally in a receptionist or customer-facing setting. Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment are essential. A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word and PowerPoint, is required. The successful applicant will be professional, reliable and adaptable, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
