Legal Counsel/Paralegal

• Reviewing and drafting loan agreements, term sheets, and other legal documentation.
• Conducting due diligence and supporting the structuring and negotiation of transactions.
• Liaising with internal teams, external counsel, and clients on legal and commercial matters.
• Supporting the review and refinement of standard agreements, policies, and templates.
• Monitoring and interpreting legislative and regulatory developments relevant to the business.
• Supporting private equity, fiduciary, and lending transactions as required.
• Assisting with internal legal and corporate matters including board minutes, committee documentation, and regulatory filings.
• Analysing legal and commercial risks associated with new business and transactions.
• Supporting compliance with internal controls, company procedures, and statutory obligations.
• Preparing and maintaining reports for management and the Board.
• Building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant legal qualification and have experience in finance, commercial, or fiduciary law-whether gained in practice or within a financial services environment. Applicants may range from newly qualified Legal Counsel to experienced Paralegals or Legal Clerks with at least 3 years' experience.
