Our client, a well established financial services provider offering premier services to the Channel Islands are seeking to recruit an Insurance Broker.

Assist in promoting and selling insurance products and services to current and prospective customers.
Plan and prioritise personal sales activities and customer contact towards achieving agreed business aims.
Ensure clients best interests maintained in choosing product.
Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods to optimise quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction.
Use customer and prospect contact activities tools and systems and update relevant information held in these systems.
Plan and manage personal business portfolio including daily activities records.
Support local marketing activities and integrate personal sales efforts with other organised marketing activities such as product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions and telemarketing.
Respond to and follow up sales enquiries using appropriate methods.
Provide timely quotations.
Send out renewals in a timely fashion.
Write accurate cover notes according to agreed standards.
Issue policy documentation in a timely and accurate fashion.
Deal with claims issues as per the relevant companies procedures.
Attend training programmes and engage in personal study to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills.
Undertake additional duties as and when requested by the Directors and Commercial Insurance Manager to ensure the effective functioning of all areas.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be educated to an A Level standard or equivalent, with good English and Maths. Candidates will possess considerable experience in Commercial and Personal Insurance and hold a relevant professional qualification. Candidates will demonstrate a range of experience and knowledge in Computer Quotation Administration and Database Systems, in addition to solid IT abilities, strong organisation and communication skills, both written and verbal. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to effectively manage time, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines, whilst working within a team as well as independently. This role will suit a highly motivated, proactive and meticulous team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
