Our client, a full service community bank and a provider of specialised international financial services, requires a Fiduciary Relationships Manager.

Responsibilities

Proactively working with senior managers on a client contact-calling programme on an ongoing basis. Focusing on existing clients and prospective Fiduciary, legal, accountancy and financial service intermediaries to seek business development opportunities.
Seeking opportunities to cross sell the Bank’s full range of products including Trust, Investment Management and Lending Services to assist in the achievement of the overall financial objectives and targets for the department.
Maintaining regular contact with selected Fiduciary, Legal, Accounting and Financial Service Companies both locally and internationally to maximise existing and new client business.
Participating in the designing and facilitating of the departmental annual business development and marketing plan.
Ensuring that all relevant and current rules, regulations and Bank policies are adhered to in respect of banking clients, including but not limited to, the effective application of Anti-Money Laundering and Know Your Client regulations and policies, awareness of transaction monitoring, and client take-on procedures and processes.
Minimising the volume of client complaints and dealing effectively with any complaints arising.
Maximising the profit potential for the business under the job-holder’s control.
Receiving instructions from clients in person, fax, letter or by telephone and carry these out directly or indirectly through the coordination of their completion by Banking Operations.
Assisting senior managers manage an entertainment schedule as appropriate for your client base to enhance and develop effective contacts and relationships and create opportunities for increased business.
Overseeing the processing of deposits and payments (swift transfer, cheque or draft) transactions, related foreign exchanges and securities transactions to ensure that they are effective technically correct and completed without error and in good time as laid out within the procedure manual.
Maintaining a good understanding of all relevant laws, rules, regulations and Group policies to identify risks inherent in the provision of wealth management services in Guernsey.,
Working with and support other Relationship Managers/Assistant Relationship managers to ensure service delivery in maintained at all times.
Ensuring ideas and suggested business opportunities are shared and discussed as appropriate forums.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold 10 years’ experience and hold a relevant professional investment management or credit qualification. The successful applicant will also have knowledge of complex structures and servicing, however, it is no necessary to have private banking experience. Candidates will be familiar with computerised systems and will demonstrate the ability to effectively manage time, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines, whilst working within a team as well as independently. This role will suit a highly motivated, proactive and meticulous team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
