Our client, a leading law firm, is seeking to recruit a Facilities Administrator.


Guernsey, Channel Islands


Dealing with internal and external document deliveries.
Sorting and distributing incoming and outgoing post.
Acting as Fire Officer for the Guernsey office, as directed.
Ensuring that the health and safety of employees is taken into consideration with the provision of furniture, equipment, heating, ventilation, lighting, toilet and refreshment facilities.
Coordinating with the secretaries and the outsourced archive provider to ensure appropriate storage, retrieval and destruction of documents in line with the firm's policy.
Ordering and maintaining stationery supplies, retaining delivery notes and invoices for processing.
Reporting building faults to the landlord's agents and monitoring progress of any issues.
Ensuring that new employees are provided with a security pass and regularly monitoring security pass use, to ensure the security of the building.
Assisting with office moves as required. Some lifting and physical transportation of documents may be required, including archive boxes, court bundles, and moving crates.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have preferably have previous facilities experience and will be able to preserve a high degree of confidentiality. Applicants with legal services experience will be preferred, but not essential as full training will be provided. The successful candidate will have high attention to detail and accuracy, strong organisation, interpersonal and communication skills and a service orientated approach. The role will suit a solution based, flexible individual who is keen to learn and has effective IT Skills, in particular MS Office Suite, hold a valid driving license and the ability to manage and prioritise tasks, time, budgets and people in a deadline driven environment.
