Our client, the largest group of actuaries and consultants in the Channel Islands, is seeking to recruit a Compliance Manager.

Prepare and present Board reports, on compliance issues.
Act as Compliance Officer and deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer, for the regulated companies and for the Insurance Management client companies.
Assist in providing periodic statutory returns, to regulators.
Review and update procedures, for the group’s non-regulated companies.
Undertake reviews of compliance, with procedures for the non-regulated companies.
Assist in the review of business continuity arrangement.
Provide advice on compliance issues, to the various teams, on how to meet requirements effectively.
Prepare and deliver training on AML and corporate governance issues.
Manage relationships with clients and regulators, on compliance and AML issues.
Support other members of the compliance team.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Compliance/AML qualification, or relevant professional body accreditation, coupled with a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a senior compliance officer; preferably working in a trust or insurance environment. This role also offers the opportunity, to study for a further professional qualification, if desired. Preference will be given to candidates who have some knowledge of Protection of Investor regulations, although this is not essential. Applicants will demonstrate a good working knowledge of AML regulations, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, complimented by good literacy and will have experience and natural aptitudes in relationship management, with regulators and clients. This role will suit an organised and self-motivated team player, who prioritises work and meets deadlines efficiently, whilst applying high levels of accuracy to all duties.
