Join a professional fiduciary organisation as a Client Accounting Officer, responsible for maintaining accurate records, preparing statutory and non-statutory accounts, and supporting the delivery of financial information to both clients and senior management.
Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing statutory and non-statutory trust and company accounts for key clients to a high standard.
- Producing detailed working papers and maintaining supporting documentation.
- Managing queries and following up on any actions required during or after the accounts process.
- Liaising with clients and professional advisors by telephone, email, and face-to-face on accounting-related matters.
- Accurately booking client transactions and reconciling ledgers and cash positions in line with internal controls.
- Ensuring deadlines are met and expectations managed effectively.
- Preparing management accounts, ad hoc financial reports, and cashflow forecasts.
- Participating in regular team meetings to ensure workloads are prioritised and achievable.
- Supporting the Client Accounting Manager with additional projects and reporting as required.
- Following company accounting procedures and contributing to process improvement initiatives.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have experience within a fiduciary or trust and corporate services environment and a solid grounding in bookkeeping and accounts preparation. They will be part-qualified or fully qualified (ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) and possess strong technical and organisational skills. Excellent attention to detail, clear communication, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team are essential. A good working knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and accounting systems is required; experience using Acumen would be advantageous.
