Our client, a global quality leader in the trust and corporate services sector, is seeking to recruit an Assistant Manager for their Private Wealth Team.

Guernsey, Channel Islands

Responsibilities

Manage and administer a portfolio of trusts and companies.
Update accounting records (book keeping) in a timely manner.
Post and reconcile statements, investment portfolios and rental statements.
Prepare annual accounts for trusts and companies.
Undertake fee collection and chase /collect debtors.
Liaise with beneficiaries, investment advisers, bankers, auditors, property advisers, agents and lawyers.
Prepare receipts and payment statements and asset statements.
Ensure that the company internal prevention of anti money laundering and terrorist financing procedures and policies are complied and be familiar with those written policies and procedures.
Prepare basic annual tax work for trusts and companies and liaison with tax advisors and/or our tax department.
Administer complex property structures (large bank borrowings and inter group loans ) as well as be responsible for bookkeeping, preparation of annual accounts for audit and liaise with auditors.
Ensure that Guernsey anti money laundering and terrorist financing regulations are complied with to the extent required by your role, especially in respect of the reporting of suspicious activity or transactions, client due diligence and record keeping.
Prepare correspondence as required.
Assist with other duties as the Manager may at times reasonably require.
Undertake Assistant Manager duties in the absence of the Administration Group Manager.

Skills / Qualifications

The successful candidate will ideally have experience in a similar role, with experience in Bookkeeping and possess excellent people management skills. A high standard of accuracy and time management is needed to complete tasks on a daily basis.
