Our client, a global trust and corporate service provider, is seeking to recruit a Client Services Assistant Manager.


Guernsey, Channel Islands


Assume responsibility for the administration of a portfolio of complex trust and company structures in multiple jurisdictions maintaining a courteous and professional approach with both external and internal clients at all times.
Liaise with lawyers, accountants and intermediaries ensuring structures are tax efficient and compliant.
Maintain relationships with clients and develop a full understanding of client business in order to improve the scope of services provided to clients and proactively discuss those opportunities with them.
Undertake the administration of various classes of assets.
Deal with restructuring issues, purchases, sales, refinancing, additions, distributions and revocations.
Perform daily preparation of payment instructions, drafting of minutes, general correspondence and review of legal documentation in an accurate and efficient manner.
Review bookkeeping and financial statements and assist with the gathering of record where required.
Monitor tax updates and changes in respect of client structures, filing of tax returns and property returns with relevant authorities.
Oversee compliance issues and updates and implementing where necessary.
Assist with the technical queries that arise within the team, guiding and training more junior members of the team in respect of technical matters.
Utilise management reporting information to monitor and manage progress on key performance indicators.
Assume responsibility for completion of time sheets to ensure clients are billed for time expended.
Network with intermediaries and relevant business contacts to enhance the opportunities to do business with them.
Promote the company brand and share our vision and values consistently internally and externally.
Undertake any other reasonable ad hoc tasks that may be required.
Ensure compliance with company standards, policies and procedures

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold an industry relevant qualification (STEP/ICSA) along with a minimum of 6 years’ experience, ideally with 2 in a supervisory capacity. In addition to demonstrating a good understanding of trust and company law and administration, applicants will commit to maintain professional knowledge through attendance at relevant seminars, webinars, presentations and reading. The successful candidate will possess a good understanding of any relevant tax legislation and demonstrate a willingness to understand tax changes as they arise, as well as demonstrate a solid understanding of external regulations and legislation and of the internal policies and procedures including anti-money laundering risk ratings and signing limits. This role will suit a sociable and intuitive individual with good IT and communication skills, with the ability to deal with difficult and sensitive issues and a willingness to travel to meet clients and professional contacts as required.
