Our client, an independent group, providing a range of professional expertise and advice to individuals as well as international professional support services, are seeking to recruit an Assistant Administrator.


Guernsey, Channel Islands


Carry out the function of Trust and Company Assistant Administrator, ensuring that clients’ books and records are up to date at all times.
Ensure that client bookkeeping is accurately and efficiently dealt with.
Promptly reconcile client bank statements to ledger records, ensuring that reconciling items are effectively dealt with.
Ensure all payments of fees are settled in a timely manner.
Ensure that electronic and physical records are updated for all relevant matters.
Prepare cash reports and other client information as requested.
Liaise with clients, professionals and associated offices in dealing with client affairs, and maintain a professional and courteous attitude at all times.
Ensure that client requests are dealt with in a timely manner.
Assist the Senior Administrators with projects as they arise.
Keep abreast of any industry developments such as changing legislation by reading relevant articles in circulated publications and be aware of your and the Company’s responsibilities and obligations as set out in the GFSC handbook and the Company’s Policy and Procedures manual.
Prepare regular client returns and Annual General Meeting documentation where required.
Convene Directors or Trustees’ Meetings of client entities to ensure that all important decisions of the entity are authorised by the Board of Directors or Trustees.
Assist with the on-boarding of clients.
Assist compliance with annual reviews and obtaining due diligence where required.
Keep a detailed record of all work undertaken and the time spent and to complete a daily time sheet by 10am the following working day and to ensure that the efficiency percentage for the role is maintained whenever possible.
Deputise for other staff as required.

Skills / Qualifications

Candidates will possess prior experience in a similar or relevant role. Candidates will demonstrate solid IT abilities, strong organisation and communication skills, both written and verbal. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to effectively manage time, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines, whilst working within a team as well as independently. This role will suit a highly motivated, proactive and meticulous team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
