Corporate & Commercial Associate

• Advise on corporate reorganisations, mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures involving Guernsey structures.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, financing documents and security agreements.
• Provide advice on Guernsey company law, economic substance and beneficial ownership requirements.
• Act as a key contact for fiduciary and corporate service provider clients.
• Advise private clients on asset structuring, corporate vehicles and family office matters.
• Build and develop long-term client relationships through responsive, commercially focused advice.
• Contribute to business development and identify opportunities to grow the corporate and commercial practice.
• Mentor and supervise junior lawyers, trainees and paralegals.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Solicitor or Barrister with at least 4 years' PQE, gained within a respected onshore or offshore corporate practice. You'll have strong experience across corporate finance, M&A and commercial advisory work, together with the ability to manage transactions independently and provide practical, commercially focused advice. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills are essential, alongside the confidence to work with sophisticated fiduciary and private clients and provide guidance to junior colleagues. For candidates relocating from another jurisdiction, a genuine commitment to establishing themselves in Guernsey will also be important.
