Associate Director - Captive Insurance

• Managing and developing a portfolio of captive insurance clients.
• Delivering exceptional client service and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Supporting strategic planning, budgeting and business objectives.
• Participating as a member of the senior management team.
• Attending and contributing to client board and strategy meetings.
• Presenting on insurance, governance, accounting and operational matters.
• Supporting the establishment and onboarding of new captive structures and insurance vehicles.
• Reviewing contractual arrangements, governance documentation and operational procedures.
• Monitoring client profitability and identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory, legal and internal control requirements.
• Managing, mentoring and developing team members.
• Supporting business development initiatives and promoting insurance solutions to prospective clients.

The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified insurance professional (ACII or equivalent) with strong experience within captive insurance, insurance management, reinsurance or related insurance sectors. They will demonstrate a sound understanding of insurance and reinsurance principles, captive structures, accounting, taxation, corporate governance and financial markets. Previous management experience would be highly advantageous, alongside strong leadership, stakeholder management and client relationship skills. Experience attending board meetings and presenting to senior stakeholders is essential. Knowledge of protected cell companies, incorporated cell companies and captive insurance structures would be particularly beneficial.
