Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Leading the overall facilities function, ensuring high-quality workplace experience across all locations.
- Overseeing day-to-day facilities operations, including maintenance, helpdesk and reception services.
- Driving workplace strategy, including space planning, office design and fit-out projects.
- Managing planned preventative maintenance programmes and ensuring operational reliability.
- Leading, coaching and developing facilities and reception teams.
- Promoting a strong service culture focused on client and employee experience.
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety, fire safety and environmental regulations.
- Acting as Responsible Person for water systems and overseeing statutory safety requirements.
- Managing incident reporting, risk assessments and emergency procedures.
- Overseeing supplier and contractor performance, ensuring value for money and service quality.
- Managing security systems including access control and CCTV in collaboration with relevant teams.
- Supporting business continuity planning and operational resilience.
- Acting as escalation point for facilities-related issues, including out-of-hours emergencies.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a facilities leadership role, with a strong focus on service delivery and team management. They will demonstrate the ability to balance operational discipline with innovation and commercial awareness. They will hold relevant certifications such as IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent), along with Fire Marshal and First Aid qualifications. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, alongside the ability to prioritise effectively and operate under pressure. The successful individual will be highly organised, resilient and proactive, with an awareness of sustainability and continuous improvement. They will be confident using standard office systems and comfortable working within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
