Guernsey, Channel Islands

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the development and maintenance of the knowledge management database.
  • Assisting with updating and maintaining intranet content, including precedents, practice notes and client briefings.
  • Acting as a first point of contact for legal research enquiries from fee earners.
  • Operating a research and enquiry service, including sourcing legal materials and case law.
  • Assisting with the consolidation and management of legal and regulatory resources.
  • Supporting document automation initiatives and coding within document assembly systems.
  • Developing and maintaining guidance materials and training resources.
  • Managing knowledge repositories and ensuring content is accurate and up to date.
  • Maintaining physical and digital library resources and monitoring usage and updates.
  • Ensuring records, trackers and documentation are maintained accurately.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently. Experience within a legal or professional services environment, or exposure to knowledge management or research-based roles, would be advantageous. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft 365, are essential, and experience with systems such as iManage or SharePoint would be beneficial. The successful individual will demonstrate attention to detail, discretion and a proactive approach to supporting knowledge-sharing initiatives.
