A leading professional services firm is seeking a Business Development Assistant to join its Guernsey team on a 3-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and enthusiastic individual to gain hands-on experience in business development and marketing.
Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with the implementation and reporting of business development and marketing plans.
- Supporting the preparation and project management of legal directory submissions.
- Assisting with the organisation and delivery of client events and local BD initiatives.
- Coordinating logistics for events, working closely with colleagues across teams.
- Supporting lawyers with business development trip preparation and post-trip follow-up.
- Maintaining and updating CRM systems with client and BD information.
- Assisting with pitching and proposal preparation.
- Collaborating with local and global marketing teams to coordinate BD activities and communications.
- Developing an understanding of local markets, practice areas, and client needs.
- Providing general administrative support and assisting with ad hoc projects as required.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of business development or marketing, ideally within a professional services environment. They will be enthusiastic, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with confidence using Microsoft Office applications. A collaborative mindset and an eagerness to learn are key to success in this short-term but impactful role.
