A brilliant new opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Client Accounting Manager to lead and supervise a small team of accountants and bookkeepers. The role will focus on ensuring accurate and timely preparation of client financial statements, overseeing workflow, and driving improvements in efficiency and quality.
Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Reviewing financial statements prepared by the team to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Prioritising and managing the workload of the client accounting team.
- Collaborating with trust administration teams to resolve queries and finalise accounts promptly.
- Supporting the development of new policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
- Acting as the link between accounting and transformation teams on automation initiatives.
- Producing management information and monitoring KPIs.
- Approving timesheets, holidays, and overseeing delegation of work.
- Conducting performance reviews, setting objectives, and providing coaching and mentoring.
- Assisting with preparation of team budgets and internal annual financial statements.
- Delivering training on bookkeeping and financial statement review.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with at least 1-2 years' post-qualification experience. They will have strong technical knowledge of accounting, particularly in relation to trust and company financial statements. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to analyse and improve processes are essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop others while maintaining high standards of integrity and discretion.
