This role presents an excellent opportunity to join a global offshore law firm, with the flexibility to work either on-site or remotely from Jersey, Guernsey, or the UK. The Finance Systems Manager will be at the centre of finance operations, leading on system development, configuration, and training to improve the Aderant user experience while supporting the firm's financial processes.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Acting as the primary contact for Aderant and finance system queries, ensuring data accuracy, system security, and compliance.
  • Managing user access and controls to meet local regulations and AML requirements.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues, working with IT and external vendors where necessary.
  • Leading upgrade and implementation projects, including testing, data migration, and integrations.
  • Delivering training sessions, creating user guides, and supporting colleagues in making best use of system functionality.
  • Supporting reporting and data management, enabling accurate business intelligence and compliance reporting.
  • Preparing the business for the 2026 upgrade to Aderant Sierra (AWS cloud platform) and future system enhancements.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' experience managing finance systems in a professional services environment, ideally within a law firm. Strong expertise in Aderant is essential, alongside knowledge of system configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting. They will be confident working with reporting tools such as SSRS and Power BI, and have excellent skills in SQL and Excel. A background in accounting or bookkeeping is highly desirable. The successful candidate will be organised, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong communication skills and the ability to support and train non-technical users.
