Our client has an exciting opportunity for a capable and driven individual to step into a pivotal role, offering oversight, guidance, and strategic input across the full compliance function. The role will suit a confident professional with strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and a desire to shape best practice within a forward-thinking environment.

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Reviewing and approving complex CDD and EDD assessments, ensuring risk factors are properly addressed and mitigated.
  • Providing oversight of transaction monitoring, making informed recommendations and reporting findings to senior teams.
  • Reviewing and updating internal policies and procedures to align with the latest Handbook changes.
  • Preparing Compliance Officer reports for board review and advising on regulatory developments.
  • Leading compliance input on new business reviews and signing off client risk assessments.
  • Managing the compliance team's workflow, including inbox triage, delegation of tasks and escalation handling.
  • Offering technical guidance to the team and acting as a primary resource for complex queries.
  • Supporting junior team members through mentoring, regular reviews, and performance development.
  • Ensuring the team meets agreed KPIs and manages all action points and reviews in a timely and professional manner.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience and hold a recognised compliance or AML qualification such as the ICA Certificate or Diploma. A strong working knowledge of the GFSC Handbook and regulatory requirements is essential, along with demonstrable experience managing reviews, sign-offs and overseeing compliance procedures. The successful individual will combine regulatory rigour with a proactive and approachable leadership style.
