This is a hands-on opportunity to join a busy forecourt retail environment in an administrative and bookkeeping support role. The successful candidate will be responsible for daily cash handling, reconciliation, and maintaining accurate financial and operational records. This role would suit someone highly organised and detail-oriented, with a practical approach and the ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
Collecting cash and paperwork from tills and floor safes.
Reviewing and printing relevant daily emails.
Checking and sorting paying-in books returned by G4S (twice weekly).
Organising till paperwork and counting cash and lottery tickets.
Inputting data into accounting software and generating daily reports.
Preparing and updating spreadsheets, including weekend figures.
Scanning and emailing signed customer Account Sale Vouchers.
Photocopying documents and maintaining accurate filing.
Coordinating with staff for banking procedures and placing cash in the safe.
Assisting with ad hoc tasks as required by management.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar accounts or admin support role, preferably within a retail or cash-handling environment. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and confidence using spreadsheets and accounting software are essential. Candidates must be proactive, reliable, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
