An excellent opportunity to join a busy finance team, taking responsibility for the review of monthly financial information and providing vital support in the day-to-day operations. This temporary position is ideal for an experienced accounting professional with a methodical approach and strong attention to detail and will operate on a 6-7 month contract.

Responsibilities

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
Managing the monthly balance sheet reconciliation process.
Reviewing and agreeing tasks performed by the finance team, including:
Postal Agency Branch scale payments.
MOU returns.
Weekly agency payments.
Equal transactions.
Bank reconciliations.
Producing subsidiary management accounts.
Assisting with finance team cover during staff absences, including annual leave.
Supporting the finance team with their financial work and daily activities.
Assisting the Head of Finance in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Undertaking any other duties as deemed appropriate by the Head of Finance.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be an experienced accounting professional, preferably ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent). Experience with an accounts system, such as Sage Line 200, would be advantageous. Candidates must demonstrate excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. A methodical and organised approach is essential.
