Our client, a specialist asset management firm in Guernsey, requires a Temporary Finance Administrator to start in March 2020 for a period of 6-9 months.

Responsibilities

Prepare supplier payments, ensuring that invoices are accurate and have been duly approved.
Post all transactions into the accounting system.
Prepare intercompany invoices on a monthly basis.
Perform bank reconciliations and revaluation of bank balances on a monthly basis.
Monitor Financial Resource Requirements and any other capital requirements.
Participate in the preparation of the annual accounts and assist with annual audit.
Prepare monthly Management Accounts, including preparation and posting of monthly accruals, including IM fee accruals, prepayments, deprecation and balance sheet reconciliations.
Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
Prepare variance analysis of Group actual to budgeted P&L on a monthly basis, seeking explanations from UK subsidiary where required.
Post quarterly investment management fee and performance fee invoices.
Monitor bank accounts for receipt of client fees, highlighting and chasing any overdue amounts.
Prepare FX transactions as required.
Assist in PI, D&O, Comprehensive Liability and ERISA annual renewal process and subsequent mailing of ERISA and PI cover notes to US clients.
Monitor short-term cash flow by individual bank account.
Assist in arrangement of all other insurances as required, monitoring renewal deadlines.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and be familiar with the GFSC Rules, in particular the Licensees (Conduct of Business) Rules 2016 and the handbook for Financial Services Businesses on Countering Financial Crime and Terrorist Financing. Applicants with asset management experience will be preferred and experience of Sage 200 would be advantageous. The role will suit a well organised individual with excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
