Our client, the largest European manager of insurance companies, ILS and reinsurance, requires a Temporary Administrator.

Guernsey, Channel Islands

Responsibilities

Deal with deposits, including observing and updating mandates, investment guidelines and board requirements.
Attend to payments and receipts as prepared by other teams, perform monitoring of cash and notify the manager before the limit has been breached.
Organise board meetings, including booking meeting rooms and circulating board meeting dates.
Produce and circulate board packs.
Prepare draft skeleton board meeting minutes.
Ensure all documentation, correspondence and telephone calls are dealt with professionally, efficiently and accurately.
Adhere to the Office Procedures Manual, prepare risk assessment forms and complete all necessary checklists.
Maintain an electronic filing system for each client assigned and ensure that scans have been reviewed before archiving or shredding.
Undertake ad hoc roles, projects, report writing and research.
Correspond professionally with external parties such as clients, brokers, lawyers, actuaries, banks, investment managers, and cedent insurance and reinsurance companies.
Assist with the daily management of Rated Re underwriting and claims matters by working closely with the Insurance Managers and assisting them as and when necessary.
Review and statistically analyse monthly claims bordereaux and other loss information received from reinsurance brokers.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess at least 1 year's experience in a similar administrative role. Applicants will demonstrate solid IT abilities, strong organisation and communication skills, both written and verbal. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to effectively manage time, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. This role will suit a highly motivated, proactive and meticulous team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
