Our client is seeking to recruit a Tax Manager.

Location

Guernsey, Channel Islands

Responsibilities

Managing of the day to day tax administration of your client portfolio (predominantly Guernsey and/or UK tax compliance related), including the supervision of work undertaken by administrators.
Undertaking residence and domicile issues, migration between jurisdictions and corporate residence issues.
Supporting with Guernsey Income Tax Office and HMRC enquiries.
Dealing with other corporate tax issues, including those related to, for example, BEPS, Diverted Profits Tax, CFC legislation and Double Taxation treaties..
Managing UK tax compliance, reporting and associated issues as well as HMRC enquiries.
Restructuring in conjunction with a migration or following a change in domicile.
Reporting fund UK tax compliance and ad hoc advice including shareholder reporting and structuring.
Providing advice upon the utilization of Guernsey by: High net worth individuals wishing to emigrate from the UK, UK resident but non-domiciliary and local and international companies and corporate groups.
Managing, monitoring and contributing to the delivery of key financial performance targets.
Ensuring that Guernsey anti-money laundering and terrorist financing regulations are complied with to the extent required by your role, especially in respect of the reporting of suspicious activity or transactions, client due diligence and record keeping.
Providing honest feedback (both positive and negative) on performance in a constructive way to staff through the course of the year and, specifically during the Appraisal process.
Participating where possible in social events organised for staff and management.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess considerable experience within a private client tax role and will hold a CTA or ACCA qualification. Candidates will possess solid IT abilities, strong organisation and time management in addition to excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to prioritise tasks, work independently and to strict deadlines whilst managing a team of administrators. This role will suit a motivated and proactive team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
