Guernsey, Channel Islands

Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting sanctions screening and monitoring programmes using technology-enabled tools.
  • Undertaking compliance monitoring tasks, including maintaining registers, updating remedial action lists, and contributing to internal reporting.
  • Acting as a first point of contact for sanctions-related queries and conducting initial reviews.
  • Drafting and updating sanctions and AML-related policies, procedures, and training materials.
  • Preparing data for regulatory submissions and supporting responses to regulatory consultations.
  • Liaising with technology teams to optimise compliance data processes and tools.
  • Participating in the ongoing review and enhancement of the firm's Business Risk Assessment (BRA).
  • Supporting the delivery of sanctions-related compliance projects and process improvements.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in compliance monitoring, audit, or a regulatory environment within the Channel Islands. A professional qualification such as ACCA, ICAEW, or ICA is desirable. Strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical thinking, and a sound understanding of local AML and sanctions frameworks are essential. Experience with drafting compliance reports, using compliance technology tools, and interpreting regulatory updates will be beneficial.
