Senior Portfolio Manager

Our client a specialist in wealth management, operational in 11 countries across the globe, is seeking to recruit a Senior Portfolio Manager.




Present the bank offer internally and externally as required.
Provide input into marketing materials.
Complete CPD and maintain professional standing.
Manage funds and ensure full compliance with relevant regulation.
Perform all duties in line with company procedures.
Ensure portfolios are managed in line with client mandates, restrictions and company policy and that strategy changes are implemented promptly.
Ensure efficient execution of trades.
Understand the clients’ restrictions and tax position and manage portfolios accordingly.
Contribute ideas to investment performance via universe selection committees, huddles or other forums.
Write up briefing notes on any investment ideas.
Perform review meetings with clients explaining portfolio performance and company strategy.
Contribute to written client materials as required.
Provide advice to clients on their portfolios based upon company Strategy
Answer ad-hoc client queries as required.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have considerable experience in a relevant role and understanding of all major asset markets such as equities, bonds, FX, commodities, hedge funds along with a working knowledge of the Channel Islands Regulatory Framework. Applicants who demonstrate an understanding of Investment Risk Management, Structures, Asset Allocation and Portfolio Construction Principals are preferred. The successful candidate will have solid IT skills, in particular Excel and 3rd Party Systems such as Bloomberg, along with strong communication and organisational skills. This role will suit an analytical and detailed team player with solid interpersonal skills.
