Our client is seeking to recruit a Senior Fund Accountant.


Guernsey, Channel Islands


Assist in the day to day management of the fund accounting and wider accounting function.
Report to the Head of Accounting on the performance of the fund accounting and wider accounting function.
Forecast revenues for strategic purposes.
Maintain a business-wide view in order to achieve business goals.
Undertake line management of client accountants.
Identify opportunities for new service lines or to develop current relationships.
Maintain and develop key client relationships.
Develop efficiencies within the team and the wider client business.
Undertake involvement in project teams as a senior member of the accounting team, specifically relating to systems and processes.
Work with other departments to maximise potential use of IT systems and inter-departmental processes.
Lead ad hoc projects for clients and ensure the timely completion thereof.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a relevant fund accounting role and will hold a professional qualification such as ACCA or ICAEW. It is a prerequisite to have previous management experience and success in managing and motivating team members. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of the Guernsey Fiduciary industry and regulatory requirements, as well as experience of working with complex structures. They will have a broad and full understanding of products and services offered by the company and will demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills. The role will suit a highly numerate individual with solid IT capabilities, who has experience of using NAVOne and can work decisively and efficiently, manage their priorities and the ability to influence and have an impact at a senior level.
