Our client is seeking to recruit a Fund Accountant for their Private Equity Team.


Guernsey, Channel Islands


Assisting in preparing and analysing monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annual financial statements with supporting documentation.
Preparing monthly valuations, reconciliations of fund draw downs and distributions, accruals and expenses.
Offering support with inputting double entry bookkeeping to the accounting system.
Assisting in the cash reconciliation and management for the funds.
Providing support in preparation of draw down, equalisation and distribution calculations in accordance with the fund documentation.
Liaising with various external and internal parties, including client, external auditor, other company offices in the day to day accounting of the fund and other custom reporting and projects for specific investor needs.
Assisting in preparation of fund investor capital statements as required.
Preparing fund and investor IRR calculations as required.
Attending client and audit meetings as required in relation to the provision of financial statements to investors.
Providing input in relation to the review and monitoring of existing business process, procedures and checklists to maximise efficiency and productivity in the PE Team.
Assisting in preparing or authorising clients’ payments and/or fees.
Monitoring central mailboxes and responding to client queries and/or requests in a timely manner.
Deputising for the Senior Fund Accountant and other members as required.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and will hold or be working towards a relevant qualification such as ACCA or ACA. Applicants will have good accounting skills coupled with a basic understanding of the PE industry and prior experience of PE and fund accounts preparation. They will have a basic understanding of fund structures and fund cash flows and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages with an emphasis on Excel and Word. The successful candidate will have sound analytical and problem solving abilities, demonstrate motivation and ability to learn new applications and processes, with the ability to work to tight deadlines. They will be a team player and be able to assist other members of the team when required and they will have proven interpersonal, time management and communication skills, with the ability to deal with various parties both internal and external. The role will suit a well organised individual with an awareness of the necessity to attention to detail, the ability to work independently and prioritise workloads in a deadline driven environment.
