Our client, an international and highly regarded wealth management firm, is seeking to recruit a Part Qualified Accountant.

Location

Guernsey, Channel Islands

Responsibilities

Preparing and circulating accounts timetables.
Supporting in planning activity of team Liaising with fund administrators.
Preparing and reviewing of management fee calculations.
Critical background knowledge of entities worked on.
Effective communication with client, investors and other associated parties (based worldwide).
Dealing with investor queries in an efficient and timely manner.
Able to prepare and issue ad-hoc reports to clients.
Preparing proforma accounts, ensuring they are in accordance with appropriate regulations/standards.
Agree proforma with clients/auditors.
Maintaining capital accounts for limited partnerships.
Liaising with other departments.
Maintaining client relationships.
Checking and maintaining ledger integrity.
Preparing standard accounts file.
Liaising re closing down of accounting periods.
Completing appropriate checklists.
Liaising with auditors.
Preparing accounts for manager review/clearing points.
Sending accounts for inclusion in board packs.
Providing information for US and UK tax returns.
Good understanding of bookkeeping including more complex transactions.
Understanding cash management procedures for specific entities.
Able to check bank account reconciliations on a monthly basis and cash reports on a monthly basis.
Understanding the call/distribution process.
Calculating the call/distribution amounts for recommendation by client.
Reviewing and maintaining records.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold or be studying towards a professional qualification such as Accounting Technician, ACA or ACCA and will have experience in preparing accounts, with a good understanding of Bookkeeping. Candidates with experience in Funds/Private Equity will be highly regarded. The successful applicant will have technical accounting knowledge such as UK GAPP and IFRS and knowledge of Guernsey Company Law and regulatory issues. The role will suit a client focused individual with good communication, time management and organisation skills. Applicants will have intermediate Excel skills and those with Macro skills will be welcomed.
