Investment Administrator

Our client, a locally based independent investment management company, is seeking to recruit an Investment Administrator.




Collect post, banking and filling duties and any other duties deemed relevant.
Assist with a variety of tasks such as monitoring of proceeds for new portfolio in coming, Bank account reconciliations, Stock reconciliations and Valuation run, monthly and quarterly.
Accurate entry of trades, dividend and cash input.
Send valuations in a timely fashion.
Ensure various reports related to month end valuation run are accurate and sent in a timely fashion.
Various queries answered in a timely manner.
Organise the closure of portfolios.
Monitor process and act efficiently when finalising closure.
Maintain client files, assuring accuracy of content and archive as necessary.
Assist in maintenance of investment manager information and maintain files and minimum records for each recommended or prospective fund.
Maintain up to date information on all Portfolio Management (CI) Limited’s recommended funds. Ensure that the latest copies of information memoranda, financial statements and due diligence questionnaires are all held on file.
Undertake an Annual or Semi Annual review of all funds currently on the recommended list.
Assist with various aspects of the investment administration processes, including assisting the Portfolio Manager or Investment Officer for IMC Monthly meeting information.
Maintain fund library with various information and updates including presentations, financial statements and fund factsheets.
Prepare and regularly distribute to senior management and members of IMC, investment information and updates via the ‘’Red File’’ system.
Update monthly quantitative fund performance report and distribute to senior management / members of IMC.
Maintain an efficient filing system for fund manager information.
Prepare and dispatch to clients the quarterly investment management reports.
Assist with the Due Diligence on all funds including requests from colleagues in the South African office.
Contact clients or product providers to respond to queries or to provide information, as and when required.
Promote, protect and enhance the reputation of Guernsey as a regulated offshore financial services centre.
Support the integrity and reputation of Portfolio Management (CI) Limited and participate in achieving its business plan.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be educated to A Level standard or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a relevant role. Applicants with experience with Bloomberg and Financial Analytics experience are preferred but this is not essential as full training will be given. Candidates will possess solid IT abilities with excellent organisation, time management and strong communication skills. The successful candidate will possess initiative, drive, sound judgement and creativity. This role will suit a motivated and proactive team player with solid interpersonal skills.
