Implementation Portfolio Manager

Our client a specialist in wealth management, operational in 11 countries across the globe, is seeking to recruit an Implementation Portfolio Manager for the Investment Services Department.




Responsible for setting investment strategy for clients and managing portfolios in line with client objectives.
Manage discretionary portfolios in line with client objectives and Investment Committee recommended asset allocations as well as Investment Strategy recommended portfolios and clients’ Investment and Risk.
Adhere to the Portfolio Management Policy, underlying investment strategy, regulatory requirements, compliance and guidelines.
Perform ongoing investment controlling, performance and risk monitoring of the portfolios.
Manage portfolios according to the established investment and dealing process for discretionary clients.
Move non-restricted portfolios in line with assigned recommended portfolio in an agreed timeframe with adherence to the clients CGT requirements.
Support Senior PMs and CIO on management of bespoke portfolios including preparation for portfolio reviews.
Transition unapproved holdings from discretionary accounts, aligning to RAA within CGT constraints.
Adhere to documented tolerance rules across the entire trading group/client portfolio.
Deliver portfolio investment performance that is consistent with the investment strategy.
Provide portfolio management support to Private Bankers as well as directly with clients.
Ensure when dealing that the book build procedure is met and covers the entire book of business within the established time frame.
Approach management of portfolio systematically ensuring errors are minimised.
Provide all clients with the same investment experience for their given risk profile.
Respond to all Investment Oversight Committee matters promptly.
Document all restrictions to portfolios.
Work within investment team to help improve the construction and performance of recommended portfolios.
Develop and sustain a broad technical knowledge across a wide range of products and services of the Private Bank to ensure relevant clients are targeted with best product and service information
Develop a sound knowledge of all stocks monitored on the approved lists and all investment products
Maintain full, accurate files/notes of all client meetings/calls/conversations using core systems to store.
Improve the quality of client service to meet the requirements for client due diligence.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be educated to Bachelor level or equivalent with minimum 2 years in a similar role. Preference will be given to applicants with either a bachelors in Business, Finance and/or Level 4 in Regulatory Framework. Applicants will have strong IT and communication skills with excellent organisational techniques whilst also possessing an understanding of economics and global financial markets. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of all asset vehicles and an understanding of their appropriateness under varying circumstances in applying them to client portfolios. This role will suit a meticulous, proactive team player with solid interpersonal skills.
