Our client, a provider of pension advisory and management services, is seeking to recruit a Human Resources Administrator.

Guernsey, Channel Islands

Responsibilities

Assist with the administration of external general training which will include the booking of courses, including bespoke courses.
Ensure that individual training histories are kept up to date.
Undertake day to day administration of the probationary assessments to include the timely sending out of the forms, chasing as required and preparation of the end of probation letters.
Ensure that the entire exit process for all departing employees is completed within the required timeframe.
Assist with the preparation of two or more Guernsey payrolls together with the associated financial reporting.
Offer support with the submission of the quarterly returns to the Revenue Service by the set deadlines.
Ensure the entire on-boarding procedure for all new staff outside of Guernsey is completed within the required timeframe.
Assist with monitoring levels of absence attributed to holiday and sickness and following up on return to work interviews; doctor certificates and benefits paid, as required.
Maintain a PDP log and ensure objectives are reviewed in line with review and target dates.
Assist with the preparation of annual appraisal forms together with ensuring that the forms are distributed in a timely manner and that training objectives highlighted are recorded on the training log and suitable courses identified.
Manage the day to day maintenance of the Population Management portal.
Act as the key contact in relation to absence intranet queries and problems.
Assist with the preparation of contracts and correspondence as required.
Offer support with the department scanning and filing.
Act as a point of contact for staff and deal with matters in a professional and timely manner.
Undertake any ad hoc projects as required.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ relevant HR generalist experience and will hold or be willing to work towards the CIPD Level 3 Certificate in HR Practice. Excellent verbal communication skills together with the ability to compose simple letters and reports, as well as the ability to multitask a wide range of different tasks is essential to the role. The successful candidate will hold an understanding of Guernsey Employment Legislation, coupled with a proactive nature and the ability to work with the minimum of supervision The role will suit a positive individual with heightened organisation and accuracy, who has sound word and excel skills and the ability to deal with staff of all levels and to be approachable at all times.
