Our client is seeking to recruit a Finance Administrator.

Guernsey, Channel Islands

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate accounting records and produce monthly draft accounts and assist with bookkeeping of other group entities.
Assist with the management of Central creditors through the processing and input of invoices and expense claims, liaising with suppliers as appropriate and arranging settlement of accounts in line with terms of reference and procedures.
Offer support with the reconciliation of the company, Central and other subsidiary bank accounts as required.
Provide cover for other operating functions as required and agreed with line management from time to time.
Assist with the process of processing payments made on behalf of Central Services.
Manage the inter company account reconciliation and assist in regular reconciliation of group loans with subsidiaries in Guernsey and overseas.
Offer support with the maintenance of data on key group statistics to allow accurate allocation of Central costs, the posting of monthly allocations in group subsidiaries and ensuring reconciliation of postings.
Compile management information in relation to Central budget and capital project expenditure performance.
Provide support with the production of department and group reports monitoring spending, commitments and expected income.
Assist with other duties and/or project work as and when required.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a solid educational background with a minimum of 3 years' relevant administrator experience and will have started studying towards a relevant professional qualification. The successful applicant will be competent with the use of Microsoft Office products and will be able to deal with staff at all levels as well being flexible with tasks to ensure the section covers key service areas. The role will suit a proven communicator who demonstrates a methodical and common sense approach to their work and is able to work to in a deadline driven environment.
