Responsibilities

Promote and support the aims and image of the Firm.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all colleagues.

Build client relationships in order to understand the client’s perspective.
Resolve client issues and appreciate client future needs, thus identifying opportunities that can add value to the client.
Respond to client needs and demands, and complete work of a high quality.
Maintain an awareness of budgets, identify and record audit cost overruns, and assist in preparing fee justifications.
Assist in more complex audits, work with senior colleagues to agreed deadlines, deal with allocated work on a timely basis, and ensure that positive communication with the client and the client’s representatives is maintained.
Analyse and record minutes and correspondence in audit files, highlighting those items which may impact on the audit.
Produce initial drafts of client communications such as Letters of Engagement, Representation and Management and to ‘flag up’ specific items in each, that need to be considered specifically by senior colleagues.
Produce financial statements from QuickBooks or by using Viztopia and other files provided by clients, ensuring that all necessary reconciliations are carried out properly and that the final financial statements are a faithful representation of the information provided to us.
Undertake full audits including, identifying risk, and carrying out preliminary and final analytical review.
Design audit work programmes to mitigate risk, writing up field work, clearing review points at various stages of the audit, finalising completion, and ensuring that the file is ready to be rolled forward.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role and hold either an ACA or ACCA qualification. Applicants will demonstrate solid IT abilities, along with excellent communication and organisational skills. The successful candidate will display the abilities to work independently, prioritise tasks, meet deadlines under pressure and show initiative. This role will suit a driven, dedicated and professional team player with exceptional interpersonal skills.
