Our client, an established bank in Guernsey, is looking for an Account Manager to join their Front Office (Private Clients) team. This role offers support a designated Relationship Manager, and has a high focus on client support.

Responsibilities

Undertake the daily servicing of existing clients and the execution of their transactions.
Receive instructions (payments, security trades, foreign exchanges, Fixed deposits and corporate actions) from clients and carry these out directly or indirectly through the coordination of their completion by Banking Operations.
Identify opportunities to cross and up sell the bank's products and services and record these leads in the appropriate database.
Facilitate daily communication with clients and be prepared to meet clients or attend client events as and when required.
Build up and maintain exceptional knowledge of the bank's products and services.
Actively contribute towards the bank's financial targets and the revenue of clients.
Maintain a clear understanding of the bank's risk appetite, policies and guidelines.
Provide assistance to other team members during busy times.
Demonstrate superb cross-departmental co-ordination to deliver for clients.
Assist in client periodic risk reviews, as and when required, in order to assess ongoing risks to the bank and to help with any KYC/AML shortfalls.
Ensure that all relevant and current rules, regulations and bank policies are adhered to, including the effective application of AML, KYC regulations and Group Minimum Standards policy.
Offer assistance with large scale system tasks that may arise from time to time.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a good background in a front office client support role with a minimum of 2 years’ experience, as well as a strong understanding of GDPR. Knowledge of T24 and other related bank systems would be advantageous. Applicants will have a good track record of working within a team, a strong user awareness of IT skills and a high degree of risk awareness and compliance orientation. In addition to excellent interpersonal skills, a strong ability to effectively support client relationships and to build relationships in conjunction with the Relationship Manager is essential.
