Our client, a provider of support services to small, medium and large entities, is seeking to recruit a Group Financial Controller.


Guernsey, Channel Islands


Produce management reporting on a monthly basis at both jurisdiction and group level of the financial position and performance.
Prepare the annual budget, forecasts and other financial analysis to enable the team to make informed decisions.
Ensure compliance with all capital adequacy requirements for the regulated entities.
Produce quarterly client profitability reports and advise Relationship Managers where fees need to be increased or closely monitored and discussed with the Client.
Produce both entity and consolidated Annual Financial Statements and co-ordinate annual audit for the group ensuring adherence to Group timetable.
Monitor and manage cash flow.
Oversee and monitor debt collection to ensure settlement of fees is made within terms of business.
Oversee production of invoices on a monthly and quarterly basis, including client disbursement recoveries, to ensure that clients are appropriately invoiced for services rendered.
Oversee preparation and payment of supplier bills.
Provide accounting support services to an internal client as required including production of quarterly consolidated management accounts, adhoc/supplementary analysis, forecasts, annual budgets, financial statements and audit.
Manage and supervise duties of Accounting Assistant.
Provide accounting support services to Clients to ensure client requirements are achieved.
Develop the client accounting services as an additional service.
Assess internal controls, streamline our accounting procedures and processes and make recommended changes as necessary.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with experience as a relationship manager in a finance environment and at a senior level, along with proven expertise in all aspects of financial reporting and detailed knowledge of the full range of disciplines. To have management and leadership experience of teams in various jurisdictions, as well as exposure to auditing practices, is highly desirable. Experienced accountants with the ambition and drive to move into a leadership role will be considered. Applicants will be results orientated, forward thinking and eager to progress and tackle challenges, working well under own initiative and displaying confidence. This role will suit a trustworthy, organised and dynamic leader who demonstrates excellent interpersonal, decision making and time/change management skills.
